Down to colourful final fours at the FIVB U23 World Championships
Myslowice, Poland, June 14, 2014 - Eight teams from eight different nations reached the semifinals of the double gender FIVB Beach Volleyball U23 World Championships on Saturday.
Brazil’s Alliso/Guto Carvalhaes will play Poland’s Kosiak/Rudol and the German Poniewaz-twins face Norway’s Tvinde/Mol in the men’s competition. In the women’s semifinals USA’s Dykstra/Pardon meet Finnish Lahti/Parkkinen and last year’s bronze medallists Humana-Paredes/Pischke from Canada take on Australia’s Laird/Artacho.

Poniewaz reached the final four of the FIVB Beach Volleyball U23 World
Championships on Saturday, celebrating and cherishing every point they scored.
The final day of the U23 World Championships will start with the women’s semifinals at 10.00, followed by the men’s at 11.00. The bronze medal matches are scheduled for 12.00 and 13.00 and the finals will be played at 15.00 and 16.00. Before the gold medal matches VIP’s and sponsors will demonstrate their beach volleyball skills on centre court.
The U23 World Championships in Myslowice are the first of four age-group events this year. In July Mexico stages the inaugural U17 (15-20), followed by the U21 in Cyprus (23-27). Portugal stages the final event on the age-group calendar, the U19, from July 29-August 3.
