The VCP Teachers course in San José is part of a programme to inform and educate schools, high school teachers and professors in Costa Rica
San José, Costa Rica, June 13, 2014 - A VCP Teachers course is taking place from June 10-14 in San José, Costa Rica, under the supervision of FIVB instructor Mr Jorge Wenceslao Perez Vento from Puerto Rico.

The course has brought together 26 participants, including 18 men and 8 women. 24 participants are physical education teachers in primary schools. They are joined by a national physical education supervisor and a participant and assistant to Mr Perez Vento who is Level 1 course approved.

An agreement between the Costa Rican Volleyball Federation FECOVOL and the Costa Rican Ministry of Education is at the origin of this annual course, which is offered through the VCP programme. The goal is to inform and educate schools, high school teachers and professors participating in the National Education Sports Games.

This is the first year the course is running and the hope is to add other VCP courses to the education programme in Costa Rica in the years to come.
