Lausanne, Switzerland, May 29, 2014 – A four-day FIVB Referee Delegate Seminar got under way in Montreux, Switzerland, on Thursday.

The purpose of the seminar is to train and learn about the duties of Referee Delegates at official FIVB competitions.

The Montreux seminar follows on from a similar seminar held in Osaka, Japan, at the beginning of May under the leadership of FIVB 2nd Executive Vice-President in charge of Referees Andre Meyer, FIVB Refereeing Commission President Hassan Mohamed and FIVB Refereeing Commission Secretary Sergey Titov.

The Montreux seminar is for delegates from Europe and NORCECA.

It is being held alongside the Montreux Volley Masters, which presents the participants with an ideal opportunity to analyze games, procedures and refereeing issues.
