Qatar hosts VCP Beach Volleyball Grassroots course

Participants at the Beach Volleyball Grassroots course in Qatar
Lausanne, Switzerland, May 28, 2014 – The Qatar Volleyball Association organized a Volleyball Cooperation Programme Beach Volleyball Grassroots course from May 18 to 22 under the supervision of FIVB instructor Jeffrey Brehaut of England, one of the most experienced technical supervisors on the FIVB World Tour.

A total of 38 men and three women from Iran, Oman and Qatar took part in the programme. The participants benefited a lot from the sessions and all completed the course successfully.

The participants were mainly coaches and players who had varying degrees of involvement with beach volleyball and were mainly from a volleyball background.

Adjustments had to be made to accommodate certain religious requirements in addition to the weather conditions, and this meant that all practical sessions had to take place in the evening.

The organization of the course was very good and there was a great support from the Qatar Volleyball Association.
