Italy, Malta, Tunisia take part in North Africa Project camp

Italy, Malta and Tunisa took part in the eight-day camp
 Catania, Italy, May 20, 2014 – Italy, Malta and Tunisia recently participated in the 2nd Beach Volleyball Players’ Camp promoted by the Federazione Italiana Pallavolo as part of the North Africa Project, an initiative that is part of FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F°'s plan for the development of volleyball around the world.

Over eight days, five men’s beach volleyball teams and three women’s teams trained intensively “Le Capannine” beach training centre. Le Capannine will host the Italian National Beach Volleyball Championship finals in August.

Malta took part in the project for the first time. The next stages will also have new countries such as Cameroon, Egypt and Libya joining. More stages are to be held up to October 2014.

The North Africa Project started in April 2013 and has been led by the FIVB Technical & Development Department with the help of Italian FIVB Board of Administration member Renato Arena and the Italian Volleyball Federation.
