New Zealand holds coaching seminar

Hugh McCutcheon heads the line-up at the coaching seminar in Christchurch, New Zealand
Christchurch, New Zealand, May 20, 2014 - Volleyball coaches from all over New Zealand were provided with the best in coaching advice over the weekend. Hugh McCutcheon opened the Thermatech coaching seminar at Burnside high school with “Christchurch to Minneapolis and a few steps in between”.

The successful international coach led a full programme of cross-sport presenters, including New Zealand representatives Gilbert Enoka and Graeme Steel, and other well-known volleyball personalities.

Volleyball New Zealand coaching advisor, Mike Dudson, presented the three former internationals: McCutcheon, who is a Christchurch native, Enoka and Steel.

Coach McCutcheon, Olympic gold medallist with the 2008 USA Men’s team and silver medallist with the 2012 USA women’s team, has made his home in the USA since 1991 when he played for Bringham Young University. He returned home to Christchurch on May 17 for the seminar.
