Children participate in mini-volleyball festival in Colombia

The mini-volleyball festival was organised at the Technology University in Pereira
Pereira, Colombia, May 15, 2014 - Five hundred children participated in a mini-volleyball festival in the city of Pereira, Colombia, on Friday May 9. The event was organised at Pereira's Technology University, where 16 courts were made available for matches.

The festival was implemented by FIVB Level 1 Instructor Luis Guillermo Garcia. 300 children attended a similar event in 2013.

The goal of the festival was to involve children in mini-volleyball and develop their interest in the sport. Participants were keen to develop their skills and received a diploma at the end of the event. The festival's success once again demonstrates the utility of mini-volleyball as a means of introducing children to the sport of volleyball.
