Bahrain Development Centre stages Cool Volley Festival

Lausanne, Switzerland, May 12, 2014 – The FIVB Development Centre in Bahrain held its fourth Cool Volley Festival on May 3.

Thirty-two teams took part in the event, involving more than 250 children.

Players from the Al-Muharraq, Al-Najma and Al-Ahli clubs attended the festival to celebrate with the children and give away Mikasa volleyballs.

The FIVB Development Centre in Bahrain opened in 1985 and has held over 150 courses. The Development Centre was extended in 2005 as it sought greater cooperation with national federations within Asia.

The Cool Volley campaign was created to attract youngsters to participate in volleyball and to help national federations recruit new players.
