Lausanne, Switzerland, May 3, 2014 – The Comorian Volleyball Federation welcomed a VCP Beach Volleyball Grassroots course from April 16 to 20 under Belgian instructor Christian Didembourg.

The programme welcomed 33 men and five women who successfully completed the course.

During the course, a number of representatives from the NOC, the Ministry of Education, the National Institute of Youth and Sport and the National Commission of Youth and Sport came to visit the participants and meet the instructor. The local press and television were present during the whole week.

Beach Volleyball is very interesting in the Comoros. They have beautiful beaches but they are only accessible at low tide for a maximum of four or five hours a day. Their wish is to have permanent courts and to take part in continental zonal tournaments.
The course was run in collaboration with the national federation and its President M. Madiane Mohamed Issa.
