Coaches course held in Ivory Coast

Course participants gathered in Abidjan

Abidjan, Ivory Coast, April 28, 2014 - Sixteen men and two women attended the Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) Coaches Level 1 Course which began on April 18 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The course took place over eight days with participants coming from across the country.

Both theoretical and practical lessons were held at the facilities at the National Olympic Committee’s sports centre, with the purpose of the course being to develop knowledge of volleyball while helping to increase its popularity in Ivory Coast.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr Kowakore, who is Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee, a representative from the Ministry of Sports and Mr Kone, President of the Ivory Coast Volleyball Federation. Local press reported on the event.
