Serbia name 22 player lineup for World League tournament
Belgrade, Serbia, April 25, 2014 - Igor Kolakovic,
coach of men's national team of Serbia has announced the list of 22 players for
this year’s World League tournament.
This will be the 17th time that Serbia will
participate in the World League and this year will see them compete in Pool B alongside
Russia (defending champions), USA (2012 silver medallists) and Bulgaria (fourth-placed
team at last year’s World League). In all the team has won seven medals – four
silver (2003, 2005, 2008, 2009) and three bronze (2002, 2004, 2010).
Serbia will play its first match of the
tournament on May 30 when they will take on Olympic and European champions,
Russia on home ground in the city of Nis. The team will play its second home
match against Russia in Belgrade on June 1.
