VCP Teachers course in Philippines

The five day course has attracted 28 teachers from around the country

Cebu City, Philippines, April 25, 2014 – A Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) teachers’ course is currently underway in Cebu city in the Philippines entitled ‘How to teach school children to play’.

The course is intended to help the integration of volleyball in schools throughout the country. The goal is to motivate teachers to improve their techniques in the delivery and practical demonstration of basic skills to school children. The course also aims to develop the theoretical and practical application of volleyball techniques in order to promote the sport at all ages and levels of competition.

The opening ceremony took place on April 23 in the presence of Cebu city sports commissioner, Mr.Yul Benosa Board member and Chairman of the Philippines Volleyball Federation (PVF) and a member of the PVF Rules of the Game Commission.

The VCP offers a variety of courses that aims to satisfy the needs of the grassroots and to educate and motivate young people, teachers and coaches to participate in volleyball and beach volleyball.
