Ghana hosts VCP Coaches Level 1 Course

Husseini Akueteh Addy, Secretary General of the Ghana Volleyball Association, said the event would be of great benefit to coaches in his country
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 23, 2014 – Course Expert Blaise Mayam Reniof oversaw the VCP Coaches Level 1 Course organised by the Ghana Volleyball Association, the FIVB and the Ghana National Sports Authority from Monday to Wednesday. He expressed his profound satisfaction with the facilities made available for the duration of the programme.

The course, which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium media centre, brought together 43 participants. They included Observers and professionals from Ghana’s security services (police, prisons, immigration, army, air force and navy), from Ghana’s education service, volleyball clubs and players. The programme brought together the highest number of participants since 2011, with three women in attendance.

“We believe that the experience and expertise from the course will modify the mindset of Ghanaian coaches and bring a philosophical change to coaching in Ghana with the support of FIVB materials,” said Husseini Akueteh Addy, Secretary General of the Ghana Volleyball Association.
