Guatemala stages Beach Volleyball Grassroots Course

Participants at the Beach Volleyball Grassroots Course in Guatemala
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 9, 2014 – The Guatemala Volleyball Federation organized a Volleyball Cooperation Programme Beach Volleyball Grassroots Course from April 1 to 5.

The course was held in Guatemala City under the direction of Brazilian instructor Magda Rejane Falcao de Lima.

The 22 men and four women taking part in the course were from the host country and Cuba.
The instructor was very happy with the level and professionalism of the participants, who demonstrated an eagerness to learn. As a result, all of the participants completed the course successfully.

The Guatemala Volleyball Federation is moving in a forward direction and is organizing various tournaments and national championships.

Guatemala is seen as a promising venue for beach volleyball. While only one beach volleyball court was available during the course, two new courts are under construction.
