Mozambique refs receive FIVB instruction

Arnaldo Rocha is using his refereeing experience to help officials in Mozambique
Maputo, Mozambique, April 8, 2014 – Volleyball referees in Mozambique are currently receiving expert FIVB instruction in a week-long course to help them  hone their skills and aid the development of the sport in the southern African country.

In total 40 referees will take part in the course, made up of 30 men and 10 women and FIVB instructor Arnaldo Rocha from the Portuguese Federation has travelled south to lead the training.

Of great importance to the Mozambique Federation is the fact that all three zones – North, Centre and South – are being represented by the participants, while all the referees will receive an FIVB Referee Manual and Rule book in Portuguese.

The FIVB also provided volleyballs, nets and copies of volleyball rules for distribution around schools and clubs in Mozambique.
