Palestine stages mini-volleyball festival in Bethlehem

 Lausanne, Switzerland, April 6, 2014 – A mini-volleyball festival has been staged at the Dar al Kalimeh Lutheran School in the Palestine city of Bethlehem.

Palestine mini-volleyball head coach Rani Asfour supervised the 100 boys and girls who took part in the event.

School Director Naela Kharroub and Dr. Charles Haddad, General Director of the Lutheran schools in Palestine, attended the festival, along with the school’s Sports Director, Antone Nassar, sports teacher Muhannad Saad and the Ramallah Girls Technical School team.

TV Palestine, Radio Palestine, Al Quds, Allayyam and Alhayat reported on the event.

The Palestine Volleyball Federation is implementing a strategic plan to develop volleyball with the emphasis on children at schools and clubs.

Part of this plan is to stage mini-volleyball events, which are in strong demand from schools across Palestine.

At the end of the festival, the children received certificates and medals.
