Eritrea stages successful VCP Refereeing Course

Participants on the Refereeing Course in Eritrea
Lausanne, Switzerland, March 26, 2014 – The Eritrean National Volleyball Federation, with the support of the FIVB, successfully staged a Volleyball Cooperation Programme Refereeing Course from March 17 to 21.

The course was conducted by Lebanese instructor Emile Jabbour. Thirty-two men and one woman – all from Eritrea – took part.
The theory lessons were held in the lecture hall at the headquarters of the Eritrean Olympic Committee.

The Eritrean Volleyball Federation is working hard to develop volleyball throughout Eritrea. They are organizing the final phase of the National Championship’s 1st division, featuring seven men’s teams and six women’s teams.
The course was seen as a boost for local volleyball referees and introduced the new “Rules of the Game” manual.

The great motivation of the participants saw all of them succeed in passing the exam.
