All 19 participants passed the exams at the end of the course

Sao Tome, Sao Tome e Principe, March 27, 2014 – Referee development in Sao Tome e Principe has taken an important step forward with the recent Volleyball Cooperation Programme Referee Course, which was held from March 16 to 20 under the leadership of Portuguese referee Mr. Rui Jorge Carvalho.

In all there were 15 men and four women, all coming from the host country, who took part in the programme that was conducted in Portuguese.

The participants showed a high level of engagement throughout the course and took the opportunity to learn more about different refereeing topics.

The Course is designed to educate and train new referees at the national level. It also provides National Federations with a structure so that they may continue to develop their national referees.
