The CAVB will begin its qualification process for the Youth Olympic Games in the coming weeks

Cairo, Egypt, January 26, 2014- The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) will organise Continental qualifiers for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games that will be held in Nanjing, China from August 16 to 28, 2014.

The qualification tournaments will determine the six vacancies in both genders for the Youth Olympic Games. The African qualifiers for men and women will be held in two separate countries.

This will be the first time that beach volleyball will be included in the Youth Olympics after volleyball debuted in the first edition in Singapore in 2010.

The CAVB has already received applications from the participating countries following approval from their respective National Olympic Committees.
