This weeklong National Training
Camp is designed to continue players' skill development, to help them understand the
‘International game’, and to further develop the systems used by national teams
during international competition.
The camp aims to expose many athletes to their first taste of beach volleyball training and to develop ‘complete’ athletes who can compete in either volleyball or beach volleyball. Athletes attending this camp will be considered for selection to further national programme camps and possible international competitions scheduled in 2014 and beyond.
The camp started with a beach volleyball weekend at Inverloch beach, a one hour drive from Churchill, with Olympian Lou Bawden helping to coach the girls.
