Development system launches in Argentina

The system will help develop youth motor skills

Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 5, 2013 – A new training system targeted to Mini-Volleyball development programs was launched Thursday in Argentina.

The Training System Method, S.E.L.L., uses social interaction and play as teaching tools, with the goal of helping children express their motor, social and cognitive skills. Created by Italian Professor Carmelo Pittera, the system helps investigate motor development and allows coaches to better assist youth athletes.

The launch included a training session with professors, to help develop the system across Argentina and neighbouring countries.

It is with great pride that I represent FeVA at this important moment, surrounded by so many professors that have a rich history in our volleyball activities,” said Under-Treasurer of FeVA, Jose Maria Cuadrillero. “This initiative started nearly a year ago with Quique Edelstein and we have gone through a great path that makes us very happy.

"This is an important moment we are enjoying. The CDRV hope to to continue training with this method to head toward that goal.”

Professor Enrique Edelstein, General Coordinator of S.E.L.L., expressed his joy for the welcomed reception by the FeVA, the CDRV and the volleyball clubs to take this important program and understand its goodness for the development of youths.

Pittera also expressed her gratitude.

I thank the FeVA, the CDRV and all those that very warmly welcomed me,” Pittera said. “We have decided to publish this book in Argentina because we understand that here it is the ideal venue for these new ideas that are the result of long and hard investigations.”

After the official launch, professors will work for three days to spread the new knowledge around the country.

S.E.L.L. is already a reality in Argentina with the boost of FeVA, CDRV and more than 30 professors eager for new knowledge.
