FIVB President Dr. Graça to attend CAVB Congress

FIVB guests of honour led by Dr. Ary S. Graça F° and CAVB officials with the Rwandan flag upon arrival at the Kigali Airport

Kigali, Rwanda, December 5, 2013 - FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° arrived in Kigali, Rwanda on Thursday to attend the 2013 CAVB Congress, which will take place from December 7 and 8 at the Serena Hotel in the city.

President Graça is accompanied by FIVB first Vice President and NORCECA Confederation President Mr Cristobal Marte Hoffiz who will also participate in the activities of the Congress.

CAVB President and FIVB Vice President, Dr. Amr Elwani received the FIVB guests of honour at the Kigali Airport where President Graça was interviewed by Rwanda TV and Media.

Dr. Elwani was accompanied by CAVB Vice Presidents Iddris Dokony, Monir Benslimane and Board member Louis Timba as well as the President of the Rwanda National Olympic Committee, Robert Bayigamba and Rwanda Volleyball Federation President Gustave Nkurunziza.
The FIVB President and first Vice President will also participate in Executive Committee and Board of Administration meetings on December 6 and will have meetings with different continental zone representatives.

"It is an honour to receive Dr. Graça in Africa ahead of the Congress to see one of the development activities in the Central African country and evaluate the progress of African Volleyball," said Dr Elwani.

"Africa has progressed a lot in the last few years, it has made great strides during Dr. Graça’s era due his developmental mentality especially in the beach volleyball field with projects like the Continental Cup.”
