Mini volleyball fever takes hold of Palestine

Also in attendance were 300 adults, as well as local families in addition to members of the press from Al-Ayyam, Alquds , Radio Palestine , T.V Palestine and Maan.

Ramallah, Palestine, December 2, 2013 - A Mini Volley Ball festival was held in Ramallah at the Nour Al Huda school on November 30 with the participation of 350 children of both genders.

Under the guidance of coach Mr Rani Asfour, the school sponsored volleyball matches were held across 16 fields prepared for the festival.

This is the second event of the kind organised in Ramallah with a mini-volley festival held in November, in conjunction with the Palestine Volleyball Federation, which saw the participation of 90 boys and girls.

The purpose of these festivals is to give National Federations the opportunity to participate in an annual event through which they can develop volleyball in their communities. In doing so, the aim is to encourage people to participate in an event providing a fun, enjoyable and competitive environment, where the “Ball Keeps Flying” through thousands of children. The goal is to create a real universal event where children and youth can participate in many locations around the world.
