FIVB acts to help development in Mozambique, Chad and Cape Verde

The FIVB is assisting in the development of volleyball in Africa
 Lausanne, Switzerland, October 27, 2013 – The FIVB Coaching Support Project focuses on African countries and aims to improve their national teams’ performance. 

The first stage is to assist Mozambique, Chad and Cape Verde for the qualification phase of the 2014 World Championship. 

Three instructors have been appointed to assist in this project:

Mozambique (Mr. Amilton Barros/BRA)
Chad (Mr. Kamel Imeloul/ALG)
Cape Verde (Mr. Luca Privitera/ITA)

Chad is currently preparing their men’s national team for the second round of the CAVB Zone IV qualification. The team will be competing in Congo from November 6 to 10.

The FIVB is currently working with a new development concept in order to increase the number of projects in Africa.
