AVC Delegation visits NORCECA in Santo Domingo

AVC and NORCECA representatives are holding bilateral meetings in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, October 24, 2013 – A delegation from the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), headed by its president Dr. Saleh Bin Nasser and FIVB Honorary President, Mr. Jizhong Wei, is visiting the headquarters of NORCECA Confederation as part of a cooperation program between the two institutions.

Mr. Essa Hamza Ahmad, FIVB Executive Vice President, Mr.  Atsuchi Katoch, AVC Tokyo Office Director, and Mr. Kojima Kazuyuki, executive member of Japan Volleyball Association, are also part of the delegation.

The Asian group was greeted on Thursday outside the premises of NORCECA in Santo Domingo by its president Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, the general manager Mr. Nelson Ramirez and Mr. Mushtaque Mohammed, president of development commission.

They will be holding two-day meetings with the directors of the different departments of NORCECA to discuss bilateral relations and benefit from their mutual experiences in the different areas.

The exchange presents a unique opportunity to reinforce existing links and sharing thoughts on the current challenges facing by both confederations, specifically in the daily operations and development programs.

“The friendly ties between the people and officials of the two confederations are strengthened by this kind of exchanges and must continue to help the growth and development of our national federations,” Marte Hoffiz stated.
