FIVB Level I Coaches Course starts in Tehran

The 12 day course started on October 22 and will end on November 2

Tehran, Iran, October 24, 2013 - A Level I Coaches Course is currently taking place in Tehran at the Iran Volleyball Federation training hall, with over 42 coaches from all over of the country in attendance.

Among the participants are 12 former national team players and four analysts from national teams as well as five women. The course is organised by the training and research department of Iran Volleyball Federation in coordination with the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the FIVB. The course is being led by Course Director Tatsuya Adachi from Japan and Course Instructor Dr. Khosrow Ebrahim from Iran.

At the beginning of the course Adachi said, “Volleyball is Iran has experienced good progress over the past few years. As future coaches there is a heavy burden upon your shoulders to strengthen the base and fundamentals of volleyball. It is the duty of each and every single participant. Myself and Dr. Ebrahim will do our level best to pass our knowledge and experience to you during the short term of course.”

The course includes practical and theoretical sessions, with the purpose of providing young coaches with the necessary tools to initiate young players in the practice of volleyball and also to instruct them on the fundamentals of the game.
