Dakar Centre hosts Candidate Referee Course

There are 17 referees from 11 countries in one of the biggest events of the year in the Dakar Development Centre

Dakar, Senegal, October 22, 2013 - A Candidate International Referee Course started on October 21 at Dakar Development Centre with the attendance of 17 referees from 11 countries in one of the biggest events of the year in the West African Centre. 
The opening ceremony was organised at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium and conducted under the authority of Alioune Mbaye Diakhaté, the Director of Training representing the Minister of Sport and attended by Cécile Faye, General Secretary of the Senegalese National Olympic Committee, Mamadou Ndoye the President of the Senegalese Volleyball Federation and Mr Mbaye Deme, the Director of the Centre of Dakar.

The course included three women referees in the framework of CAVB Strategic plan which has put a special interest on women's activities in the different categories.

It is directed by the FIVB and CAVB Refereeing Commission President Hassan Ahmed and Jacek Spisak, a member of FIVB Rules of the Games Commission.
