Participants at the beach volleyball training course in Qatar
Lausanne, Switzerland, October 21, 2013 – The Qatar Volleyball Association hosted a five-day grassroots beach volleyball training course earlier this month.

The course was led by instructor Mohammed Benhamida from Qatar who divided the course into two phases.

The first part was dedicated to the youth players on the Qatar National Beach Tour, while the latter part consisted of a general workshop on the latest trends in the world of beach volleyball.
A total of 29 participants from 14 countries took part in the programme.

Instructor Benhamida said he was very happy with the high standard of organization and noted that some of the participants demonstrated a high level of beach volleyball.

Mohammed Ali Al-Mohannadi, QVA Secretary General and Chairman of the Beach Committee, thanked the FIVB for their continuous support in promoting the beach games.

The federation is looking forward to welcoming more beach volleyball courses next year and to endorse its beach volleyball academy in the coming years.
