International Referee Candidate Course opens in Indonesia

The course, currently being held at the Indonesia Volleyball Development Center, will end on October 22

Sentul–Bogor, Indonesia, October 16, 2013 – An International Referee Candidate Course for volleyball officials was recently opened by the vice-president of The National Volleyball Federation of Indonesia, Mr. Edi Soenarno.

In all there are 18 candidates from 12 countries taking part in the course: Ken Nakayama and Taisuke Togawa (Japan); Mahdi Navidino and Vahid Pourkhasian (Iran); Yousef Al Haddad and Mohammed Al Kuwari (Qatar); Mohammed Abbas Ali and Sayed Jaffar Hussain (Bahrain); Nawaf Al Mutairi (Kuwait); Jatuporn Kittichaisombat (Thailand); Fernando Andres Romano (Argentina); Narek Shirinyan (Armenia); Narendrasingh Ripudamansigh Kshatriya (India), Toh Chee Keong (Singapore); Marco Van Zanten (the Netherlands); Indra Muflih and Dondi Satriyo Wahono (Indonesia).

Mr Jaafar Ali Naseeb (FIVB Refereeing Commission) is the Course Director and Mr. Tomoyuki Nishikawa (FIVB Rules of The Game Commission) is the Course Instructor.

This is the second International Referee Candidate Course to be held in Indonesia, with the first being held in Jakarta in 1988.
