Botswana and Zambia through to final round of Men's World Championship qualifying in Africa

Botswana players celebrate after finishing the six-team Africa second round qualification tournament unbeaten

Molepolole, Botswana, October 15, 2013 - Botswana and Zambia qualified to the third and final round of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014 Africa qualification process after they finished first and second respectively at the Zone 6 second round qualification tournament (Pool R) held at the Institute of Health Sciences in Molepolole, Botswana from Tuesday to Saturday.

Botswana continued its zonal dominance by winning the six nation tournament with a win-loss ratio of 5-0, dropping only one set in five matches to qualify to Pool U of the final qualification round to be held in Egypt in January, 2014.

Runners up Zambia also qualified to Pool U after finishing ahead of Zimbabwe on set ratio after both countries boasted a 3-2 win-loss record. Lesotho came fourth (2-3), while Mozambique finished fifth (1-4) with a superior set ratio than Namibia (1-4) who finished sixth.

3. Zimbabwe

4. Lesotho

5. Mozambique

6. Namibia
