Seychelles women will fight in the final round of the Women's World Championship qualifier

Vacoas, Mauritius, October 8, 2013 – Seychelles women's volleyball team had to fight for more than two hours to clinch a tight five-set victory over host Mauritius in the 2014 FIVB World Championship African qualifier in Pandit Sahadeo Gymnasium in Vacoas on Sunday.

Seychelles women followed the footsteps of their men counterparts and defeated Mauritius 3-2 (25-19, 29-31, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11).

After Mauritius won the first set, Seychelles ladies regained their performance and won two successive sets to lead 2-1, before the Seychelles team claimed the fourth set and the tiebreak to win the tough match.

With the victory, Seychelles will represent zone 7 in the finals of the qualifications to be held in January 2014.
