2014 development programme call for participation

Participants in the VCP Young Players course that took place in Haiti in 2012

Lausanne, Switzerland, October 9, 2013 – With the planning and organisation of the Volleyball Cooperation Programme for 2014 currently underway, all National Federations are invited to participate in next year’s development programme by offering one of the many courses that are part of the VCP.

National federations are requested to select one of the following courses offered in 2014 to further local grassroots volleyball activity:

- VCP Teachers Course
- VCP Young Players Course
- VCP Coaches Course Level I
- VCP Beach Volleyball Grassroots
- VCP Refereeing

The Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) has been the essence of this development cooperation since 1989. The main objectives are to generate permanent development impact and to ensure that volleyball and beach volleyball take firm roots within countries and regions that many would think impossible.

The VCP provides opportunities to National Federations to develop their own potential and the FIVB’s support allows the organisation of courses in countries that would never have the means to improve their performance without assistance.

Federations are free to select the course which is most likely to support its growth strategy and which pays attention to the development of young players and teachers.

In order to take part in the 2014 VCP, please complete the C-VCP 1 and C-VCP 2 forms and have them signed by the relevant parties. The forms must then be sent to the Technical & Development Department no later than October 15, 2013 by email (technical.development@fivb.org) or by fax (+41 21 345 35 45).

The application forms can be found here.
