Updates to Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees

The Spanish and French versions of the tool are currently under development as are plans to make it available for IPad users.

Lausanne, Switzerland, September 20, 2013 – Following the rule modification approved by the FIVB Congress in 2012 and feedback from users, the FIVB is pleased to announce an update to the Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees.  

This innovative tool was produced to introduce the complete set of indoor volleyball rules and regulations to referee instructors, referees as well as players and fans. The tool covers specifics of the rulebook, refereeing guidelines, protocol and instructions.

The 2013 version of the Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees is now available on-line and can be downloaded for stand-alone use. Additionally 60% of the instructional videos have been updated with High Definition clips from the London Olympic Games.

The tool now contains:

- special summary of the last rule modifications;
- on screen explanations together with video illustrations;
- updated Libero, net rule, substitution movies, score sheet documents;

- new styled hand signal clips.
