Largest African Volley All Festival takes place in Ethiopia

The event was well organised with multiple courts set up for the participants to enjoy.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, September 18, 2013 - The Ethiopian Volleyball Federation organised their annual Volley All Festival this past July in Bahrdar Town in the Amahara Region of the country.

This year’s festival gathered a large number of boys and girls from schools around the Amahara region, with approximately 20’000 youth participating in the festival.

The Ethiopian TV and radio were present to cover the event and the federation received material support in the form of volley balls and nets from the FIVB. This event was the largest one of its kind in Africa this year.

The concept of Volley All Festival is to give National Federations the opportunity to participate in an annual festival through which they can develop volleyball and beach volleyball. The aim is to encourage worldwide participation in an event where people can take part in a fun, enjoyable and competitive environment.

The mission of the Volley All Festival is to encourage each National Federation the occasion to organise an annual event, which combines the promotion of sports, youth interest, and media at the local and international level.
