Kigali, Rwanda, September 11, 2013 – A Level II Coaches Course has begun in Kigali under the leadership of Course Director Dr Tahar Boukef.

The Level II coaches course, offered through the Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) in conjunction with Olympic Solidarity, endeavours to increase the volleyball skills and knowledge of coaches around the world.

Each participant will be required to pass a written and practical examination in order to complete the course successfully and are required to hold a Level I Coaches certificate.

The Coaches Courses are in place to improve the knowledge and competence of coaches and teachers around the world so that they may gain recognition as FIVB coaches, while representing a unified system for training coaches in all zones.

The aim is to teach participants the most recent trends of the game so as to encourage an internal method of training and qualification for coaches and teachers. The courses also provided participants with a space to exchange ideas and experiences
