Grassroots Beach Volleyball Course in Vietnam


Hanoi, Vietnam, August 9, 2013 – A Grassroots Beach Volleyball Course conducted through the Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP), was recently completed in Vietnam.

The course, led by Australian instructor Ms. Lauren McLeod, had an encouraging level of participation with 30 individuals from all over the country in attendance.

The participants included current and former beach volleyball players, coaching staff from both national and local levels of the sport as well as sports administrators from government and university programmes.

The Grassroots Beach Volleyball Course is designed for National Federations and beach volleyball enthusiasts willing to further develop the sport in their respective countries. The course provides an insight into the world of beach volleyball and teaches fundamental issues like how to create and to organise beach volleyball competitions. The course also covers the latest rules and regulations and provides information on the necessary structures for beach volleyball.
