Costa Rica has been working hard to develop a Beach Volleyball culture in the country over the past few years.

San Jose, Costa Rica, August 5, 2013 - The Volleyball Federation of Costa Rica, in collaboration with the FIVB, held a five day Volleyball Cooperation Programme Beach Volleyball Grassroots course from July 10 to 14.

The course was led by the Brazilian instructor Mrs. Magda Falcao and a total of nine men and seven women, all from Costa Rica, took part in the course.

Mrs Falcao, noted that the country has a lot of opportunities for new coaches and players and the federation’s new approach and partnerships are on the right track to help develop the growth of national tournaments of better quality.

Beach Volleyball player Ingrid Morales Munoz was also on hand to provide support and share her experiences during the course. She is well known in the volleyball community for having started a children’s volleyball club with strong foundations in the technical aspects of the game.
