Brazil v Italy clash highlights the second round at Girls' U 18
Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, July 31, 2013 - A ground breaking clash between World No. 2 Brazil and No. 3 Italy will highlight the second round (Round of 16) matches in the FIVB Girls' U18 World Championship due to be held at Chatchai and Laptapanlop Halls in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on Thursday.
The major power houses meet earlier than expected after Brazil finished second to USA in Pool C, and Italy surprisingly third in Pool D after defending champions Turkey and dark horses Peru, meet in to be or not be game for both teams, as one of them will continue to play for the Podium, while the other had to play for the 9 to 16 standings.

Defending champions Turkey (No. 4) line up against impressive Dominican Republic (No. 8), while dark horses Peru field against exploding Slovenia who entertain first participation in history.
Progressively improving No. 5 USA battle against No. 17 Chinese Taipei and No. 6 Poland meet entertaining Puerto Rico No. 28.
Beside the round of 16, the competition features also 2 matches in the round robin tournament between the teams finished fifth in their preliminary pools for 17 to 20 positions, as Tunisia play Mexico and Argentina face Algeria.
