USA see off Dominican Republic for second victory

USA blockers played a great role in victory against Dominican

Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, July 29, 2013- World No 5 USA went to second victory over struggling Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-22) in 67 minutes match in Pool C of FIVB Girls' U18 World Championship at Chatchi Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on Monday.
Now USA improved their win- loss ratio to 2-1 in three matches, while Dominican Republic dropped to 1-2 but both teams already secured their tickets to the second round (Round of 16).

 US big gun Mika Foecke led her team scorers with 16 points won by 15 effective spikes and 1 successful block, followed by the other hitter Audriana Fitzmorris (15 points including 3 blocks).

 Once again Dominican captain Elizabeth Martinez contributed 10 points for her team as best scorer followed by Gaila Gonzalez 8 points.

 The US players controlled the match through the solid block that allowed them to win 7 points beside decreasing their errors in defence and reception.
