Guam Volleyball Federation holds Level I coaches course

Instructor Susan Gozansky was pleased with the organisation of the course and the enthusiasm of the participants.

Hagåtña, Guam, July 23, 2013 - The Guam Volleyball Federation (GVBF), in collaboration with the FIVB recently organised a Coaches Level I course, run by instructor, Mrs. Susan Gozansky of the USA.

In all there were 12 individuals from different parts of the island who took part in the course and in a successful mini-volley clinic where the participants taught volleyball skills to the children.

Mrs. Julienne Duenas, a physical therapist who went with the Guam team to the Olympics lectured on medical issues. Mr. Chris Shepherd, the Guam National Men's Team Coach attended every session of the course.

After the event, the GVBF board expressed their eagerness to continue to develop volleyball on the island.

The Level I Coaches Course is offered through the FIVB’s Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) and is aimed at improving coaching skills and participants’ knowledge of the game.
