Taking a long term view to volleyball in Palestine

The course, which began on June 28, will run until July 8 and has a total number of 20 participants including four women.

Lausanne, Switzerland, July 4, 2013 – The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) is currently working with the Palestine Volleyball Federation on a Volleyball Cooperation Programme for coaches in the country.

The main objective of the course is to support the volleyball community in Palestine and assist the federation’s new leadership with developing the sport through its interaction with schools, physical education teachers and coaches.

The president of the National Federation, Mr. Reneh Zambeel has expressed his satisfaction with the FIVB’s support and has put forward his vision for the future, including his ambition to have his country play internationally.

The Coaches Course is supported by the FIVB’s VCP programme, which was established to provide equal opportunities to national federations all over the world, with the aim of developing volleyball and beach volleyball through a top quality programme for young players, teachers, coaches and referees.
