Poland warms-up in preparation for China

The tall Polish used their size to block the road to Mexico
Tijuana, Mexico, June 28, 2013 – Poland’s coach Wieslaw Czaja was glad to grab three important points with the victory over home team Mexico but he will be even happier if his side can reach the peak form when they meet China in the first match of Saturday.

Wieslaw Czaja, coach of Poland: “We won against the home team in front of big public and it was a tough result to attain. Our objective was to take three more points and we achieved it. I am glad with the level we had because it was sufficient to win but I will be even happier if we reach our top level in the match against China.”

Oscar Licea, coach of Mexico: “Congratulations to Poland and also to my players because we played better than yesterday against China. Poland plays more organized volleyball and today we played better defense. We need to play this way when we face the teams of Belgium and Tunisia.”

Bartosz Bucko, captain of Poland: “Mexico fought with us the whole match but our best volleyball we played during the first set. I only hope we can play like in the first set in the rest of our matches.”

Mauricio Lopez, captain of Mexico: “We are catching rhythm which is important because the matches against Belgium and Tunisia are the real important for us.”
