Lebanon hosts Level 1 coaches course

Nearly 25 people successfully took part in the Level 1 coaches course
Ghazir, Lebanon, June 25, 2013 – A level 1 coaches course was held at the Sporting Club Ghazir, from June 14 to 21, in efforts to teach theoretical and practical lessons to the professionals.

Nearly 25 people – 23 males and 2 females –successfully took part in the course, and were awarded the Volleyball Cooperation Programme Certificate.

Course director Mr. Youssef Al Helbawi from Syria ran the course with and course coordinator Mr. Emile Jabbour from Lebanon.

Helbawi expressed his delight with the course held in Lebanon and views it as a good model for any other course. He also declared that Level 2 should be held as a follow up course.

Helbawi added that the participants created a very good team work by helping each other facing any difficulties in the preparation for the practical and written exams coming up with a promising feedback aiming to improve their coaching skills and knowledge of the game.

The closing ceremony was attended by the President of the Lebanese Olympic Committee and Lebanese Volleyball Federation Mr. Jean Hammam and the Secretary General Mr. Waleed Kassouf.
