We need games like tonight to grow, says Serbia coach

We expected a hard game, said Serbia coach Ratko Pavlicevic.
Brno, Czech Republic, June 24, 2013 – Serbia, holding a two to one win-loss record at the tournament, wrapped up the 113-minute tussle against Japan 25-21, 25-21, 16-25, 21-25, 15-10. It was a good game and we hope the audience liked the spectacle, said Japan coach Yasuhiro Fukuda.

Serbia coach Ratko Pavlicevic: We expected a hard game. We need that kind of matches to grow. It helps us to improve our level. I am happy with the win.

Serbia captain Bianka Busa: It was a very nice game and we are happy that we finally won. We are looking forward to challenge Thailand tomorrow.

Japan coach Yasuhiro Fukuda: It was a good game and we hope the audience liked the spectacle. After the two first sets, we managed to play faster due to our improved passing. Nevertheless, we could not pull through.

Japan captain Momoka Oda: We are disappointed. We tried to finish second in our pool. Tomorrow we will recover to be ready for the next round starting Wednesday.
