Technical seminar a success in Bahrain

In all there were 39 participants in the seminar hailing from Bahrain, the UAE, Oman and Iraq.

Manama, Bahrain, June 7, 2013 – The Volleyball Development Centre in Bahrain held a technical seminar on defense, serve and the use of the libero in modern volleyball from June 2 to 6.

The course was run by FIVB instructor Francisco Manuel Hervas Tirado well known coach and former player of the Spanish national team.

The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ali Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Alkhalifa, president of Bahrain and Arab Volleyball Associations and Mr. Mohammed Althawadi, president of FIVB Development Centre.

The FIVB Technical Seminars programme is intended for technicians (with experience as volleyball players and/or coaches) looking to improve their knowledge and competences of the different volleyball techniques. These seminars usually feature world-renowned volleyball coaches and instructors who provide players with practical demonstrations.
