Level I FIVB Coaches Course underway in Chennai

The 34 course participants (including six women) come from India and Bangladesh.

Chennai, India, June 5, 2013 – A Level I FIVB Coaches Course is currently underway in the Indian city of Chennai. This 12 day course, which began on Sunday is being organised in association with the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, under the leadership of Course Director, Mr.Hans Freidtich Voigt (Germany) and Course Instructor, Mr G.E. Sridharan from India.

This international coaches course comprises theory classes to be conducted at FIVB Development Centre Auditorium and practical sessions, which will take place at the Sdat Indoor Stadium.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr.A.Ramana Rao (Director of the FIVB Development Centre), Mrs.Mary Rajathi (General Manager, Sdat Indoor Stadium), Mr.A.D.Mohanraj (Assistant Commissioner of Police).

The Coaches Course is supported by the FIVB’s VCP programme, which was established to provide equal opportunities to national federations all over the world, with the aim of developing volleyball and beach volleyball through a top quality programme for young players, teachers, coaches and referees.
