Level 1 Coaching Course in Nauru

There are 16 local volleyball instructors taking part in the programme led by FIVB instructor Mr Alexis Lebedew

Yaren District, Nauru, May 14, 2013 – A Level 1 Coaching Course is being held in the Pacific nation of Nauru from May 8 to 15, under the instruction of FIVB Instructor Mr Alexis Lebedew.

The course is an important step forward in volleyball development for a country, which has a population of only 9’500 inhabitants and limited resources with which to advance the sport.

The Level 1 Coaches courses are offered through the Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP). It is a course aimed at helping local coaches increase their skills and knowledge on the fundamentals of the game and how to form teams. National Federations may host one Coaches Course every 4 years.
