Guatemala City, Guatemala, April 27, 2013 – A seminar to train personnel in the use of the volleyball electronic score sheet was conducted in Guatemala on the occasion of the U-18 Girl’s Pan American Cup that serves off on Monday.

The seminar was directed by FIVB and NORCECA instructor Yeivic Jimenez of Venezuela in the presence of Judith Sandino, president of the VIS and Statistics Commission of NORCECA.

“The E-Score Sheet will take volleyball to the highest technology level which will contribute to lower margin of errors and making the match advance faster and with much more accuracy,” Jimenez said. “This system will also introduce in the future a video application.”

Sandino said to be pleased with the innovation as “this will simplify our job and the results will be more accurate; the VIS commission is looking forward to meet new challenges.”
