'Beach Get Involved' seminar held in Buenos Aires

The seminar was Development Centre's first this year

Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 22, 2013 – A beach volleyball technical seminar entitled “Beach Get Involved” was run at the FIVB Development Centre in Buenos Aires from March 15 to 19.

Mr Mauro Hernandez from Venezuela led the five day course, which included the participation of Olympic players Mariano Baracetti and Esteban Martinez who provided their personal insights and experience during the discussions.

The seminar brought together technicians (with experience as players and/or coaches) to help improve their knowledge and competences of the different Beach Volleyball techniques.

When asked about his satisfaction with the course, Hernandez said, “The seminar was a good starting point for FeVA to begin thinking about its athletes’ training at both the national and international competition.”

At the seminar, participants had the opportunity to discuss the biological demands of playing beach volleyball, new trends in training planning and control systems among other important issues of relevance to the sport.

“We were very pleased with the logistics of the seminar and the excellent cooperation we had with the Federation with respect to the materials used,” enthused Hernandez at the end of the seminar.
