Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 20, 2013 – The Argentina youth team started an intensive training session on Monday under coach Julian Alvarez at Argentina’s Cenard training centre as part of their preparations for the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship in Mexico this year.
Sixteen players are taking part in the training session, which runs until March 27.
It is the first intensive session of the season where the World Championship is the main goal, although there are several other international competitions that Argentina will compete in.
The Boys' U19 World Championship will take place in the Mexican cities of Tijuana and Mexicali from June 27 to July 7.
Argentina finished fourth in the competition when it was held in Mexico in 2007.
